My Red Dress Day

I woke up one day in a "down", sad mood. I was going to work that morning and had to dress up for my job. With the way I was feeling, I believe most people would have chosen dark and drab colored clothing. Believe me, that was my first thought. "Grab your ugliest dress to go with your ugly feelings."

Well, I eventually decided on a fancy red dress. I thought, "Well if I can't feel good, I will at least try to look good, and maybe make someone else feel better." It was amazing how my outlook got better just by putting that dress on.

During the course of the day, many people came up to me and commented on my red dress and how nice I looked. It didn't take long and my spirits started to soar!

Next time you're in a depression, put on a fancy outfit and feel the sadness wash away.

Here are a few examples, * My brother George lives in Russia. I see him once in a blue moon. * We have visitors once in a blue moon. * How often does Tendulkar come to office? Once in a blue moon. There are several explanations as to the origin of this expression. According to scientists, whenever a volcano erupts, the sulphur and dust particles that are thrown up into the atmosphere often cause the moon to appear blue for some time. When the volcano on Krakatoa (an island between Java and Sumatra) exploded in 1883, rocks were hurled thirty miles high into the air and dust from the volcano fell nearly three thousands miles away. After this eruption the moon looked blue for several days. Luckily for us, volcanoes don't erupt every day, so a blue moon continues to be a rare phenomenon. Another explanation offered by scholar...

Sharp's Enhanced Definition TVs

"Look," you may be saying, "I just want a TV, OK? I don't want to play Xbox 360 on it or build a home theater or impress my geeky friends with my contrast ratios. I just want to spend as little as possible so I can catch the weather forecast or maybe watch a DVD with the kids." Sharp's enhanced definition TVs may be a good choice. EDTV is a step between standard definition and high-def, so if you're upgrading from an older TV you'll see a pleasing difference in picture quality. These Sharp flat screen TVs are available in sizes as small as 13 inches and fit easily into small spaces like kitchens, bedrooms, offices and workshops. And their prices put them within reach for almost anyone.
