Saritha

Saritha is a South Indian actress. She has acted in more than 140 feature films, and been cast in the television serial Selvi (2005). Her mainstream career spanned from 1979 to 1989; she took a hiatus to get married to Mukesh (actor), and then raise two sons, who are now teenagers. She has separated from Mukesh and has returned to acting and dubbing voices. On March 2007, she filed for divorce. Saritha was discovered by the famous director K. Balachander who cast her as heroine for the Telugu film "Marocharithra" (1979) opposite Kamal Haasan, which became a hit (later remade in Hindi as Ek Duje Ke Liye). She was the 162nd girl auditioned for the lead role in "Marocharithra", when director Balachander decided she was the right actress. Director K. Balachander didn't cast her in the Hindi remake of "Marocharithra," because he needed a Punjabi actress Rati Agnihotri for the film to work in Bollywood.
